Woman charged with murder after human remains found in suitcases

A woman has been charged with murder following the discovery of human remains in two suitcases.

Gloucestershire Police said they are awaiting results of DNA tests to establish the identity of the female victim.

Gareeca Conita Gordon, 27, of Salisbury Road, Birmingham, will appear before magistrates in Cheltenham on Saturday accused of killing the woman on or before 12 May.

Appearing alongside her in court will be 38-year-old Mahesh Sorathiya, of Denmore Gardens, Wolverhampton, who has been charged with assisting an offender.

Police said the pair were refused bail and will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court via video link on Saturday.


The remains were found close to a quarry in the Forest of Dean, near Coleford, Gloucestershire, on Tuesday night.
