A woman is being treated in hospital after a "substance" was thrown at her in an attack in north London.
Emergency crews were called to Kentish Town shortly before 7am on Thursday following reports that a woman had been injured.
Police said the victim in her 30s was hurt after a "substance" was thrown at her and her skin was doused with water at the scene.
She was taken to a central London hospital and police say her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the substance used in the attack is not believed to have been acid.
