An 11-year-old boy riding a bike has been killed after he was hit by a car in a village in Warwickshire.
Police said the collision happened in Ansley Common, in the north of the county, on Saturday afternoon.
They were called at about 2.40pm and attended along with other emergency services including a doctor who was passing the scene.
The youngster was taken by ambulance to hospital in Coventry but he was pronounced dead after he arrived.
A man was arrested and has been released under investigation.
Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: "This is a tragic incident and we're appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened or was passing with dash cameras in this location to please contact us.
