A video of a child smoking during a charity football match to raise funds for cancer shocked social media users and football fans across the world.

Turkish football fans immediately took to Twitter to idenfiy the boy.

However, all is not what it seems, after a campaign to track the boy down discovered that he is in actual fact a 36-year-old man, local media reported.

Those who had tuned into watch Turkish sides Fenerbahçe S.K. and Bursaspor play, were left outraged after the boy was spotted taking a drag from the cigarette by match day cameras before the players came out on to the pitch.
