Firefighters tackling blaze which engulfed four-storey block of flats

Firefighters are battling a major blaze at a four-storey block of flats in southwest London.

Twenty engines and around 125 firefighters were sent to the scene in Sherbrooke Way, Worcester Park, after the fire broke out in the early hours of Monday morning.

The London Fire Brigade tweeted that "the whole of the four storey building is alight".

Station manager Graham Adams, who is at the scene, described the fire as "challenging".

"Firefighters are working hard to bring the blaze under control," he said.
