An 11-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after being shot by an errant bullet in a Brooklyn street Thursday evening, police said.
Two men were arguing along Schnectady Avenue between St. Johns Place and Lincoln Place in Crown Heights when one of the men pulled a gun and fired of six shots, according to law enforcement sources.
One of the bullets struck the 11-year-old in his upper right chest or shouler area as he was in the street with other children. The boy was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was out of surgery later Thursday night and is expected to survive.
