A blundering criminal has been sent back to jail after he pretended to have sex with a woman officer fixing an electronic tag on his leg.

Leon Lovell, 34, had only been released on licence from prison on the morning of the attack.

But as he was being fitted with a curfew tag, Lovell grabbed the shocked security officer around the waist – and mounted her to simulate sexual intercourse.

Recorder Gregory Bull QC said: You straddled her from behind and it has had a profound effect on her.

People carrying out a public duty deserve to be protected and this is an aggravating feature of this attack.
