Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are thought to be ready to announce their engagement ‘imminently’.

Bookies have suspended betting on a new royal wedding, with Meghan rumoured to have already made the move from Canada to London.

The couple, who have been dating since last summer, were seen getting close at the Invictus Games in September and since then speculation has raced that an announcement could be coming.

However, Ladbrokes now appear to have heard something concrete and are no longer accepting bets.

A spokesman told MailOnline: ‘Royal watchers would love a Christmas engagement announcement, and as far as we’re concerned it’s coming imminently.

The actress has to resort to FaceTime to stay in touch with the labrador-shepherd cross and beagle, who make regular appearances on her Instagram feed.

It has also been claimed that Meghan, 36, has left her highly successful role on Suits as paralegal Rachel Zane, telling show bosses that she won’t be returning for the eighth season next year.

Friends now say it is only a matter of time before the couple tie the knot.
