Lamb has lamb written in the side of its body
A schoolboy has spoken about the moment he noticed one of his lambs had markings on its fleece that looked like the word lamb.
James Stevenage, 13, noticed the markings soon after Lambie was born on Good Friday.
Shes one of four black sheep living on the familys smallholding in Edge, near Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Lambie is a cross-breed between a Jacob sheep and a Lleyn.
James said: When I saw the lamb, at first it looked like it said “I am Y”. But when I looked again it looked like it said “lamb”.
Lambie was born on Good Friday, shes very active and she jumps around a lot.
The family have 11 lambs in total, and James parents, Michael, 49, and Jo, 44, farm for a hobby.
James said: We were moving the lambs between fields when I spotted it. My mum and dad have been here for seven years and theyve never seen anything like it.
The schoolboy loves to help out with the lambs along with his sister Alice, 11, and brother Sam, 17, and dedicated much of his Easter holidays to helping out.
He added: They all fed from their mum and they were all born healthy. The ewe is a Jacob and the Ram is a Lleyn.
